New tool: DCL Back-to-Back Staterooms

For clients booking two consecutive sailings on the same ship, this tool shows which exact staterooms are open on both, so they keep one room through turnaround day.

Back-to-Back Staterooms is a new Disney Cruise Line tool, available now under Planning Tools.

Clients who book two consecutive sailings on the same ship almost always want the same stateroom for both legs. It turns turnaround day into a relaxed morning off the ship rather than an exercise in packing and moving. Finding that room has traditionally meant checking both sailings deck by deck and hoping the overlap exists. Now you select the two sailings, enter the party, and the tool pulls live availability for both at once.

The results include:

  • Room numbers available on both sailings, grouped by deck and location
  • Each sailing’s fare and the combined total
  • Stateroom themes on the Wish, Treasure and Destiny
  • Connecting pairs, for families who need two rooms

You will find it on the Planning Tools page, and there is a link in the DCL Quote Builder’s quote header that carries your sailing and party across so you do not enter them twice.

If no room is open on both sailings, there is still a sensible path. Book the best available room on the first sailing, set a Sailing Watch on the second for that specific stateroom number, and rerun the search from time to time as cancellations come through. In our experience, they do.
