Date Adjustment alerts in Room Alerts

Some open rooms look sold out because Disney restricts the stay length on certain arrival dates. Room Alerts now finds the date combination that books.

Room Alerts now send a Date Adjustment Needed alert when a room can be booked only through a different combination of dates.

The problem this solves is one that has frustrated specialists for years without most of them knowing the cause. Disney sometimes restricts which stay lengths can be booked on a particular arrival date. A room can have inventory for every night your client wants and still return as unavailable for that exact stay. To you, and to every tool watching it, the room looked sold out when it was not.

Room Alerts now checks the nearby date combinations as well. When it finds a way to book your client’s nights, either as two back-to-back reservations or as a stay with one additional night, it sends an alert with the nightly rate so you can quote the option before you commit to it.

A few points to know:

  • This is live for Walt Disney World and Disneyland alerts that include standard rates.
  • Confirm in the DTA portal before booking. These restrictions change throughout the day.
  • Date Adjustment alerts stop within 40 days of check-in. Removing nights after final payment carries a change fee and cancelling inside 30 days carries a penalty, so the split-stay approach stops being worth recommending at that point.
