Three related features arrived together this week, and they all answer the same question: on which mornings am I going to be stretched thin?
Busy Mornings. Booking windows cluster. Walt Disney World dining opens at 6:00 AM Eastern, Lightning Lane at 7:00 AM, and recreation such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at midnight. Disneyland dining opens at 9:00 AM Eastern, one trip day at a time. Disney Cruise Line activities and online check-in open at midnight Eastern, on dates that vary by Castaway Club level. When two or three clients land on the same morning, you find out at 5:55 AM. Busy Mornings surfaces those overlaps in advance, in four places:
- A weekly email covering the next ten days, so you can plan the week or line up help
- The Quote Builder, which lists any existing trips whose windows would collide with the dates you are quoting, so you can anticipate the overlap at the moment of booking
- The trip page, where an important date that overlaps another client’s window carries a flag; hover it to see which trip and which window
- The Dashboard, with a chart of trips by check-in month so you can see at a glance how many clients are traveling at once
All times are shown in Eastern Time, since specialists are everywhere and Disney’s windows are not.
Service Settings. Not every specialist handles every window. Some book dining but leave Lightning Lane to the client; some manage Disney Cruise Line activities but not online check-in. A new Services section in Account Settings lets you say which you handle, and Busy Mornings only counts the ones you do, so you are not warned about overlaps that are not yours to work. Each trip page also has a Handling / Not handling switch on every row of the Important Dates card for the exceptions. Disney Cruise Line Concierge requests, which go to shoreside services by email at midnight Eastern, are tracked as their own service.
Out of Office. Add the dates you will be unavailable, personal travel included, and Mouse Agents checks client windows against them. The Quote Builder notes when a window for the dates being quoted would fall while you are away, so you can decide before the client books whether to arrange cover.
One more detail for families booking several rooms: trips with the same specialist, destination, dates, resort or sailing, and client surname are treated as one party, so a single alert covers the group rather than one per room.
